Wren must use her magic spells to get everyone out of the demon's lair, though they're not going to make it easy for her...

i used 230 my first run. mostly from navigation being annoying,
a lot of fun! i constantly mixed up left/right/east/west, but that's a me problem :Þ
Great game, I got 14 words. Bonus extra fun in trying to get kills with words like "queer" and "slur" and "homosexual". I know it can definitely be done in less words but I'm probably stopping here, after a while getting denied on words like "relentlessness" and "unwed" and "needlessness" and "tetrahedral" and "knurling" and "spillways" begets a different feeling than the game normally does.

Absolute delight--played it once not knowing about the second ending and then played it again. Great both times.
I do think it could use slightly more signaling about the turn count--say, having a turn counter always onscreen and having it change color at a certain point. Because I wouldn't have gotten that without reading the comments.

really good rule discovery wow, with a great starting hint. perfect one-room game too
This is easily my favourite game of the calendar so far. A genius puzzle with simple and elegant mechanics that lead to engaging and deceptively hard solutions (and the hints have a bunch of cute character art!).
Made it very surreal to scroll down and see my puzzle from last year’s calendar recommended! Thanks for the shout-out, glad you enjoyed it!

this rocks! takes a bit to fully grasp how to get it to work but you feel so good when you finally find a word that perfectly works out.
I really loved this, the art is so charming and I really enjoyed the process of discovering how it works and finding solutions!
My only complaint is the “Type to cast spells” hint comes up too much, since I had a lot of idle time while working on ideas on paper. Stop pressuring me, I’m working on it!! 🙂

this is so wonderfull!! my favorite CC game so far. im in love with the art. the idea is really nice, it creates a fun realization moment and still requires thoughtful strategy all the way through. all the enemy behaviors are interesting, coming up with words that fit in different scenarios is super satisfying.
