City Stacker is a casual daily game about building a small city, designed to be played with friends. Play once and see who gets the higher score, or see who can reach the highest score after multiple attempts.

Every day, the order of the tetrominos and colors is shuffled, and a randomly sized game board is generated. Controls and rules of play are included in-game, at the top left.

The daily puzzle resets at midnight, GMT-5 timezone.

Greenpacking seems to be the best tactic for these small boards. Fan stacking for the large and tall boards. This game is quite catchy! I noticed you don’t have a little text game description on the main jam page, btw.

I played about 20 practice rounds, and I feel like the fans aren’t worth enough on smaller boards because the green red and blue bonuses can compound better.

I did not enjoy the mouse clicking controls for desktop play. I wound up misclicking quite a bit. I never played a lot of tetris, but arrows to turn and spacebar to drop still feels intuitive.

The board sizes impacting the usefulness of different blocks day-by-day was a consideration in design for sure! There was such a focus on mobile and mouse controls, I had completely forgotten about arrow keys existing until just this moment. I'll see if they can be added in!

Thank you for playing, and for the feedback. Keyboard controls have been added: arrow keys and spacebar.

It’s great, thanks!
